Ladies Love the ‘StacheThursday, May 15, 2008

Formerly New Zealand’s fourth most popular comedy folk duo Flight of the Conchords are truly ladies’ men. The duo of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie aren’t afraid to get naked and oiled up, pour some brandy and light a cigar while laying down by the fire… presumably while they wait for hot women to join them.

Check out Jemaine’s sweet moustache in the music video for “Ladies of the World” and check out their TV show or their new album. Both are pretty flippin’ awesome.

Top 10 Moustached MusiciansMonday, May 12, 2008

Music, it is something we all have in common. Moustaches, its something we don’t all have in common. When you put the two together, an image is burned into the mind, the power of the musician and the power of the moustache together is maximum power. I’m sure we could all think of 10 or more musicians with moustaches, but we here at Brash Stache are only able to honor the best of the best. Hit the JUMP! (Van Halen)

Emiliano Zapata

First and foremost Emiliano Zapata. This guy was a force to be reckoned with. No need to go into the history here, but this guy was hardcore. Bandit or revolutionary? His name lives on!

Danny Trejo

Danny Trejo is a man and a moustache of true honor. This man overcame a troubled street life of drugs and prison sentences, to portraying a troubled street life of drugs and prison sentences as a Hollywood actor. I best remember his role as Johhny 23 in Con Air, man was he brutal. A great humanitarian off screen, but man is this guy scary on film! Keep representing the stache, hermano!

Cheech MarinRichard Anthony Marin also known as “Cheech Marin” is one of the best examples of a Mexican American rocking the stache like its going outta style. The brashness of his stache knows no bounds. Best known for his role in the Cheech and Chong movies which included many comedic albums and soundtracks, he has continued to make a career for himself starring in feature films, television (Lost, apparently a good show?), and video games (GTA: San Andreas!). This guy also won celebrity Jeopardy! We salute you Cheech, and your moustache. Que Bueno!

Zorro

ZORRO! ZORRO!

ohh, and Frida Kahlo gets and honorable mention. That lady had a stache for sure, not a very solid one, but she represented regardless!
